Privacy and data protection policy
Last updated: 12 August 2026
Introduction
Your privacy is very important to me. You can be confident that any personal information you share with me will be kept safe and secure and only used for the purpose it was given to me. I adhere to current data protection legislation, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 as amended by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025, and the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003.
A data controller is the person or organisation that collects, stores, and has responsibility for people's personal data. In this instance, I am the data controller. I am registered with the Information Commissioner's Office.
This website does not have a contact form. If you would like to contact me about this policy, please use the contact form on the relevant practice website: The Menopause Therapist or The Transition Coach. Both forms reach me directly.
About this website
helenbennett.me is an information page that introduces me and links to my two practices:
- The Menopause Therapist: counselling, counselling supervision, and related services.
- The Transition Coach: coaching, coaching supervision, and related services.
This website exists only to point you to the right place. There are no forms to complete and no mailing lists to join.
What this website collects
This website does not collect personal data about you.
Specifically, it has:
- No cookies. Nothing is stored on your device and no consent banner is needed.
- No analytics or tracking. I do not measure your visit, and you are not tracked here or across other websites.
- No forms. There is no contact form, enquiry form, or mailing-list sign-up.
- No embedded content. There are no booking widgets, videos, maps, or social-media feeds loading third-party content into the page.
The only exception is the technical information every website receives in order to work. This website is hosted by Vercel, whose servers automatically log basic request information, such as IP address, browser type, and the page requested. This is used to serve the site and protect it from abuse. I do not use this information to identify you or combine it with anything else. You can read more in Vercel's privacy notice.
Links to other websites
The links on this page take you to my two practice websites, booking pages, and professional profiles. Those sites collect personal data when, for example, you make an enquiry or book an introductory or discovery call. Each has its own privacy policy:
Please read the policy for the service you are interested in. Once you follow a link away from this website, this policy no longer applies. My two practice websites are covered by their own policies. I am not responsible for the privacy practices of websites I do not operate.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information I hold about you, have mistakes corrected, ask me to delete it, limit how I use it, or object to my use of it in some circumstances. You can read more about your rights at ico.org.uk/your-data-matters.
Because this website does not collect anything, a request about information held here would have nothing to return. If you have been in contact with me through either practice, please make your request in writing through the contact form on the relevant website: The Menopause Therapist or The Transition Coach. The relevant policy explains how I handle these requests in full.
Raising a data protection concern or complaint
If you have a concern or complaint about how I collect, use, store, or otherwise handle your personal data, please contact me using either contact form linked above. You can raise a concern at any time and do not need to use a particular format; simply let me know what your concern is.
I will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days of receiving it. I will take appropriate steps to investigate it without undue delay, keep you informed, and tell you the outcome once my review is complete. I welcome the opportunity to put things right and improve my data protection procedures.
If you are not satisfied with my response, you can raise your concern with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator. You can contact the ICO at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or by telephone on 0303 123 1113. I would, however, welcome the opportunity to resolve your concern directly first.
Changes to this policy
If this website changes, for example if I add a contact form or booking link, I will update this policy and change the date at the top.
